And on the Boards There's always something going on in my mind; something surreal and fantastic which I am attempting to bring to life in the most beautifully truthful manner possible. JMPII is the Resident Playwright of Sugar Valley Theatricals JMPII is the Artistic Director of the Moving Beauty Series As a proud member of The QAS, JMPII and his Artistic Partners (photographer, Yvonne Ng, dancer, Nao Yamada, and composer David Friend) have been commissioned to present their new full length piece 'Clear as Plastic' on the stage of the Grand Ballroom at Webster Hall (9:00 pm; February 28th, 2010) as part of the The QAS Inaugural Arts Gala. Proceeds from this Gala will go towards assisting 'Orphans International' and ART for Haiti in their mission to place orphaned children with family members and/or in new loving homes in addition to placing those families back on their feet after the devastation of this most recent earthquake. Remounting 'Beneath it All'!
Beneath it All has been accepted by Chez Bushwick for SITE Fest 2010. In short, Yvonne Ng, Yasuhiko Fukuoka (composer), Meiko Mitsuda (pianist), and JMPII are all getting ready for another performance of the Heart Rending Work this coming March. Stay tuned for Details! 'Whore Works' is getting another Run! JMPII's Land Mark Play 'Whore Works' is heading to Ireland as part of the Absolut Gay Theatre Festival Dublin Where it will enjoy a week long run (May 3-8, 2010) at The New Theatre, 43 East Essex Street, Temple Bar, Dublin. If you find yourself on the Emerald Isle, please feel free to drop in and see me do my thing as I re-assume my role as 'The Whore'. Around the Corner with Concert Dance: As a member of Michael Mao Dance, JMPII is currently learning rep for upcoming performances during Immigration Heritage Week in NYC. As a member of Graham II, JMPII is currently learning rep (specifically 'Helios' and the role of 'The Groom' in 'Appalachian Springs') and working with Sameul Pott to develop his episode for the revival of 'American Document' as part of Graham's 2010 Season at the Joyce Theatre. As a member of Alpha Omega Dance Company, JMPII is continuing to learn rep with Artistic Director, Enrique DeJesus Cruz in preparation for re-mounting their recently rescheduled show at Aaron Davis Hall (all because of that awful Blizzard.
